Airsoft is a game of honor. Winning is secondary to maintaining the integrity and safety of the game. There are no supervisors, staff, referees, or any other persons policing the players actions. Always strive to leave others with a positive experience of the game and the people that play it. Be safe and have fun.
Minimum Engagement Rule – Minimum engagement is 15ft for all AEG weapons and 100ft for sniper rifles. Call surrender if clear advantage exists at or within minimum engagement. Otherwise call a parlay and both parties should back off. Remember the honor code.
"We do not lie, cheat, or steal, nor tolerate those who do!"
Surrender – If a player is within the minimum engagement distance relative to you or you find yourself in a situation where firing your weapon could result in unnecessary harm AND you have the opposing player dead to rights you should employ the surrender rule.
- Surrender/Bang Bang is a safety call only, it is not a way of killing someone tactically.
- If a player says surrender or bang bang to you, you should honor the call immediately, pull out your red rag and call yourself out.
- Do not call surrender or bang bang in a situation where it can be disputed by another player. If you do not have the target 100% no chance of survival/dead do not employ this rule.
- DO NOT run at multiple players from a distance yelling bang bang to everyone.
- DO NOT call surrender when you are hidden behind cover and you see an opposing player approach from the other side.
- Use PARLAY if you come around cover and immediately come face to face with opposing player within the minimum engagement distance.
Parlay – Calling “Parlay” means you have surprised an opposing player in a dangerous situation and should immediately back off. If two players encounter each other within the minimum engagement distance and are in a forward arc to each other, one should call “Parlay” and both players should back off a reasonable and prudent distance from each other to re-engage the fighting from a different angle. This is a safety call to avoid point blank exchanges.
Do not put yourself into a position where an opposing players only choice is to accidentally stumble onto you and force a parlay call.
Red Rag – All players will carry a red rag to denote they are out of play.
Pull out your red rag immediately upon getting hit and keep visible to others so they will know not to engage you.
Should you lose your red rag through out the course of play hold your weapon high above your head as a temporary substitute. Bringing more than one red rag to an event is recommended.
Hit rules – A BB hit to anywhere on a players body, gear, or gun counts. The player will immediately pull a red rag out and “play dead” to show a non-combative posture for 5 minutes or until another teammate can rescue the player and return to the designated casualty collection point.
A player may also call “hit” or “dead man” in addition to the above.
Rescuing – A rescuing player may assist a hit teammate in returning to the casualty collection point by keeping one hand on the teammate. If the rescuing player releases contact the hit teammate must stop and “play dead” to show a non-combative posture until the rescuing player regains contact. If the rescuing player is hit then both the rescuing player and the hit player must stop and “play dead” to show a non-combative posture. A rescuing player may only rescue one hit player at a time. A rescuing player may not use a hit player as a shield. A hit player may only walk or crawl while being rescued.
Casualty Collection Point – Each team will have one designated medic. The medic will manage the teams casualty collection point. The medic will carry a large white square flag with a red cross on it. This will be placed on the ground at a position between 100-200ft away from the area of combat. This will act as the teams regen point during fire fights. It is the medics responsibility to place and monitor the position of this flag during play.
- team Annihilation – If a team is over run and a CCP can not established then the team must return to the FOB. Once at the FOB they can reload if needed and return to the mission.
- team – The team must keep all members together. If the team moves then all wounded personnel must be “carried out” as described in the Rescue section. No one can be left behind. If a 50% casualty rate is reached then it is advised that the team move out of the immediate combat, setup a defensive perimeter and wait until all members are alive.
Code of Conduct – The following code of conduct will be adhered to both on and off the field.
- I will call my own hits
- I will NOT call others out
- I will NOT talk while I am hit
- I will NOT fake being dead
- I will NOT cheat
- I will NOT steal
- I will NOT knowingly break the law
- I will NOT fight or argue on the field.
Weapon Control – Safe operation of your weapon is required at all times.
- NO BLIND FIRE! Your eyes must be physically behind the sights of your weapon so you can see your target in order to fire on them.
- Make weapons safe in the staging area - selectors to safe and mags out!
- It is the players responsibility to ensure their weapons chrono under the safe accepted limits.
- When in staging area test fire weapons only in area designated by game organizer. If you do not know where this area is do not test fire your weapon. Find the organizer and ask.
Area Effect Weapons – Any weapon such as those capable of firing 40mm bb shower type grenade may be used to launch a Nerf Pocket Rocket. Nerf Pocket Rocket Launchers have a blast radius 15ft in regards to personnel. Nerf Rockets must hit a vehicle in order to damage it. Each team will be limited to 2 rockets per person. Team leaders can distribute these rockets as they see fit.
Blank Firing Weapons – You are not required to take a hit from a blank firing gun but it would be appreciated.
Vehicles – When a vehicle is hit it must stop for 15 minutes at which time all those on the vehicle must exit within 30 seconds or they will be declared hit. After 15 minutes the vehicle must return to the FOB. Once at the FOB it can re-spawn immediately. The driver can act as a soldier once out of the driver’s seat. However once in the driver’s seat the driver can not be shot and can not return fire. Only designated drivers may operate vehicles.
Call Outs – Calling out another players hits is not allowed under any circumstances. If there are any issues that should be brought to the team leaders attention and the leader will address the issue with the attached staff personnel.
